Gardiner Adult Ed has many upcoming classes to help you feel better and get ready for the nice weather!
Strong Body, Strong Mind, Balanced Body, Balanced Mind: Dr. Andrew Wawra is a practicing chiropractor with a particular interest in parent/child. All ages are welcome! Class starts on March 16 (two classes) from 6-7:00p.m at that Gardiner Area High School Library. $9 registration fee per pair.
Energize your Life: Enjoy better health through Energy Work! In this introductory class you will learn and practice gentle techniques that reduce stress, relieve pain and facilitate healing. You will have the opportunity to receive a short treatment from the instructor who is a Reiki Master. Class starts on March 22nd (3 classes) at the Gardiner Area High School Teachers room, from 6:30-8:00p.m. $39 registration fee.
Hot Zumba/Cool Yoga: Come and experience the fastest growing dance-based fitness craze in the country! People are falling in love with it's infectious Latin music, easy to follow dance moves and body beautifying benefits, then cool down with yoga stretches. Class starts on March 24th (6 classes) at the TC Hamlin School Gym, from 6:00-7:15p.m. $59 registration fee.
Belly Dancing: This pleasing dance is great for the body, mid and spirit! Come and learn the Ancient and Beautiful are of Belly Dancing. Class starts on March 30th (8 classes) at the Laura E Richards School Gym, from 6:30-7:30p.m. $59 registration fee.
Nordic Walking: this high impact walking class is sure to increase your heart rate. Compared to regular walking, Nordic Walking increases your heart rate by 5-7 more beats per minute and burns 20-46% more calories per hour. Class starts on March 29th (1 class; we are offering a session 2 on April 5th and a session 3 on April 12th) at Gardiner Area High School Library from 6:00-7:30p.m $12 registration fee per session.

> Start with some Spring Cleaning with our Green Cleaning Class, learn about what cleaners you should use and which ones you should avoid. Save money while reducing toxins. Class is March 16th from 6-9:00p.m at the Gardiner Area High School in room 313, there is a $19 registration fee.
> Once you get your kitchen clean, dress it up with a Spring Centerpiece that you made yourself at our Holiday Centerpeice Class! Let's celebrate Easter and the coming of spring by creating a vivid fresh flower arrangement. Class is March 30th from 6-8:00p.m at Gardiner Area High School in room 313, there is a $9 registration fee and a $15 lab fee.
> Now with a clean kitchen that is beautiful with flowers lets cook in it! Tired of spending a lot of money on Easter candy that has no taste? Learn to make several varietes of Easter candy in our Easter Candy Made Easy Class! We will make peanut butter marshmellow eggs, cherry popcorn, cheesy coconut Easter eggs, gumdrops and molded bunny chocolate lollypops. Each participant will bring home a decorative arrangemnt of candies. Class is March 25th from 6-8:00p.m at the Gardiner Area High School in room 313, there is a $9 registration fee and a $10 lab fee.
> Having family over for Easter Dinner? Wow them with a veggie tray that looks like a work of art! Learn techniques for preparing vegetables and making garnishes that you can use to dress up any dish, in our It's Not Just a Veggie Tray Anymore class! Take home and enjoy your beautiful creations. Class is March 17th at the Gardiner Area High School in room 405 from 6-8:30p.m, there is a $9 registration fee and a $7 lab fee.

Experience the magic, the mystery, the memories of CATS. We’ll journey to Boston on Concord Coach Lines from the Portland Transportation Center. Our 11:40 am South Station arrival is a short walk, subway ride or taxi to the theater district where you will have time for lunch before the 2:00 pm matinee at the Colonial Theater. Our return should bring us back into Portland at 8:10 pm. Car-pooling from Gardiner to Portland will be arranged. Registration includes Concord Coach Lines fare and show ticket. All meals are on your own. Please register by March 15th.
