Beekeeping has gained in popularity in the past years. Providing a habitat for bees, pollinating your garden and producing honey and other products make beekeeping a great hobby. Join Bob Foster and Dave LeGloahec of the Kennebec Beekeepers Association, and find out what all the buzz is about. Topics will include bee equipment, when and how to purchase bees, safety considerations, honey and beeswax products, benefits and challenges, and local resources. There will be lots of hands-on materials and bee related items to “play with”.

Remember the great party you went to last summer? Remember when you go up and tried to channel Saturday Night Fever and everyone just stared? Don’t let that happen again! If you learn how to Swing, you’ll be the life of the party, impress the boss, and probably get a raise. Who doesn’t want that? Swing can be danced to a wide variety of music, making it one of the most “useable” dances. No experience necessary, just a desire to have fun! Both couples and singles are welcome.

Line Dancing is back and hotter than ever! Join other dancers and conquer the steps or just come for the great exercise. You never need a partner, but you can bring all your friends and have lots of fun. Mad Louie will teach both current and older dances being done at local establishments. Wear proper footwear (for safety). No flip flops, clogs, crocs, or open back shoes.

Hike, snowshoe, geocache, hunt, and enjoy the woods and fields of Maine with confidence that you can read a topographic map, a Delorme Gazetteer, plot a course bearing, understand symbols, which way a river flows, your exact location, and how to get to safety. Introduction to using a compass and map outdoors included. Two sessions. Must provide your own 2 degree flat baseplate compass.
